Classic cottage garden flower with a long bloom time. Germinates in warm soil but continues growing a basal rosette of leaves through winter. Tall spikes of flowers can reach 8’ high in its 2nd year. Prefers full sun & tolerant of cold, but humidity often causes rust. Improve air flow by pruning plant & removing nearby weeds. Easily reseeds.
